Dead
Betties "Summer of '93" {}
The Betties match the sonic intensity of pioneers Sonic Youth and
My Bloody Valentine, combined with tightly-structured and highly provocative

Fur
Cups For Teeth "Allergic to Fur"
CD
New York City's FCFT is... "Jiving and juking, screaming and
trashing, laughing and sneering like a post-apocalyptic Supremes meets
Le Tigre, the three girls of FCFT are easily the most originaly and
uh, ballsy, performers in the City today." - jenyk.com
This debut CD was produced by Hillary Johnson from Crowns on 45. |

Half-Seas
Over self-titled EP CD
HALF-SEAS-OVER put the dance back in dance party. Their sound often
gets compared to the likes of Devo, The Need, and The Raincoats. They
combine elements of 8-bit Nintendo theme songs, new wave, metal and
disco to form a delicious sound your ears will keep coming back to!
Their shows have become legendary, incorporating dance interludes,
freestyle rapping, choreographed moves, performance art, and sheer
insanity! Don't miss them on tour in the midwest and east coast in
March. This EP is a collection of early songs recorded by our friend
Tara Jane O'Neil, that hints at the mellower sides of HALF-SEAS-OVER. |

Myles
of Destruction "Doom Town" EP (CD-R)
This is an amazing 4 song ep from the Philly based trio. It's
grindcore but definitely breaking sonic ground with it's guitarless
approach and addition of a violin. The collection of songs are unique
and original and of course far ahead of it's time...a big beautiful
mess, ear singeing and heartbreaking all at once. |

"One
Year Later...It Still Hurts"
(compilation)
Soon after the Genoa riots the Italian queer community felt they should
support no-global statements and actions against every kind of violence
as used by those who hold economical (and rhetorical) power to repress
and erase cultural differences, also including those about sexuality
and gender identity of course. Being sure that queer policies and
antagonistic points of view are only enriching the no-global experience
spectrum, from political activism to art and performance, we asked
different queer artists from all over the world to express their feelings
about the Genoa event by letting all out into music and words. Be
this the beginning of a new era, we hope we've found the proper soundtrack
to it! The compilation contains tracks by: Lena Zuhlke, She Devils,
Lords of Lightspeed, Running Ragged, Best Revenge, The Plath, Scott
Free, Navy, Emme, Motherfuckart Prod., Egokid, Mirah and Maria Nascenti. |

Patsy
"In a Briefcase"
Patsy are an upcoming band (although already an LA favorite for a
while), passionate about setting the standard for the next phase of
music, without the superficiality of "all girl band." The music is
real. It's intelligent, witty and refreshing, while the lyrics linger
as they move about the harmony. Marcie, Patricia and Kerry will knock
your socks off with this devastatingly amazing, and incredibly underappreciated
album. Get this!!! |

The
Quails "We Are the Quails"
This SF threesome play angular pop, agitpop, or whatever you wanna
describe it that will make you wanna dance your ass off. A fascinating
fusion of punk, pop, folk and everything in between. The lyrics speak
of " issues of personal, sexual and gender politics in the context
of a crowded and stressed urban landscape." The all-star lineup
include Seth (Circus Lupus, Antimony, Evolution Revolution, Vile Cherubs),
Juliana (Electrolettes) and Jen (Cha Cha Cabaret, Miss Lady Hand Grenade,
Rastro, Haymaker). Essential. |

The
Prima Donnas "Drugs Sex & Discotheques"
The last of the great, late-'80s keyboard bands or first of the great,
late-'90s, retro-'80s keyboard bands? You decide. This long-lost testament
to the glorious word of unholy synth-punk as translated by three young
scholars from Sussex, UK, had been rumoured for many years, but no
one believed it to be true. Their story is famous and a little incredible.
After leaving the confines of their orphanage in England and stowing
away on a submarine to America, the boys found themselves in Texas
and proceeded to educate the masses on how to get shitfaced and puke
all over your keyboard while still looking unbelievably sexy. 15 tracks
of disco decadence recorded in Monte Carlo, Bristol, Sussex, London
and on a hot-air balloon circling the globe from 1983 to 1998. |

Sextional
self-titled
The Sextional play
agro-sex rock, a hazardous by-product of a sexual environment. Emily
Kingan of The Haggard, Tami Hart solo extraordinaire, and Nicki Nevlin
of Rotophone met in Los Angeles one October night at a hot tub party.
They shaped a powerful bond of love, sex, and music that cannot be
quenched. The sound is strong, screaming, and smooth. Haggard growls
and syrupy melodies play over punchy bass lines, dissonant guitar
and pounding drums. Now, when the time is right, the three meet again
to rekindle their passion. This EP is the Sextional's first 6 songs.

Semiautomatic
"The Trebuchet"
Semiautomatic's
amazing debut CD. Akiko and Rop (PeeChees) create some absolutely
great music here, self-described as breakbeat punk or electro-punk.
You can call it what you like but it's undeniably achingly beautiful
and will have you on the dancefloor, even if it's in your bedroom.
"7:00 and 7 Stops" is a classic in my book, being one of
the most honest and gritty songs I've heard in a very long time. In
the words of Akiko (and Rop), "yo baby fuck that just freestyle." |

Squab
"What Happened Then"
Creating something all their own, the multi-instrumental, multi-dimensional,
androgynous ladies of Squab are a force to be reckoned with. Their
music is a mélange of James Brown funk with a Germs twist that
grabs your soul, teases your ears, elevates your hearts and compels
your ass to dance!
